The term "Sherman sawmill" refers to the historic Sherman Mill on East Main Street, a former industrial site in Sherman, NY, which offered custom and stock millwork and woodwork services to the broader region. The original grist mill was powered by a water wheel, and currently still has working woodworking equipment and 500 amp electric. The property runs along the Rosie Billquist Trailhead of the Chautauqua Rails to Trails.
